This notice explains how Lough Neagh Sailing Club (“we”, “us”, “the club”) collects and uses your personal information when you use this website, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
Lough Neagh Sailing Club is a volunteer-run sailing club in Northern Ireland and the data controller for the information collected through this website. You can contact us at info@loughneaghsailingclub.org.
What we collect and why
- Contact form. When you send us a message we collect your name, email address, chosen subject and the content of your message, so that we can read and reply to your enquiry. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who get in touch.
- Membership. Membership applications are handled by MemberMojo, a separate service with its own privacy policy. Any details you enter there are governed by MemberMojo’s and the club’s membership privacy arrangements, not this website.
We do not use advertising or tracking analytics on this website, and we do not sell or share your information for marketing.
Form submissions
Contact form submissions are processed and stored by our website host, Netlify, on our behalf so the message can be delivered to us. We keep enquiries only for as long as needed to deal with them and our records, then delete them.
Cookies and embedded content
This site does not set its own tracking cookies. Some pages embed content from Facebook (our page feed). If you view that content, Facebook may set its own cookies and receive your IP address, in line with Facebook’s own privacy policy. You can avoid this by not interacting with the Facebook section or by using your browser’s privacy controls.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how we use it. To make a request, email info@loughneaghsailingclub.org.
If you have a concern about how we handle your data you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
